Privacy beats data retention law

I deeply believe in internet freedom. On the 6th of December 2014, a broad coalition of parties started a law suit against the dutch government to overturn the dutch data retention law. Voys - a company I founded - joined the fight on the 12th of December.

On the 11th of March the court ruled in our favor and the internet celebrated. I could not be more proud that my team was part of this fight. We fought for privacy and we won. We fought for net neutrality both in Europe and in the US and “we” won. I know the war for internet freedom has just begun but when we so easily find coalitions this is a fight we can win.
