That guy

With a camera

Since I’ve been stuffing a Canon in my backpack every day for the past few years people have started referring to me as “that guy with the hat and the camera”. Shots sometimes end up on Flickr and the We.Are.Groningen or my personal Instagram account but they mostly end up at the people whose light was captured.

I love how a picture freezes a moment in time that will never occur ever again. What I love even more is that you can capture the purest version of a person and reflect back to them how you got to see them.

I mostly shoot my colleagues at Voys and Spindle and the events where I speak and that I attend, but I’ve slowly been moving in to street photography. The one thing that seems to be a constant is people. They are simply the most interesting subjects.
